Haad Yao or 'Long Beach' is the place where the best snorkeling reefs are found. Boats leave regularly from Ton Sai, or you can walk along the beach from Tonsai at low tide. A 30-minute-walk or a 20 Baht-long-tail-boat-ride from Ton Sai Beach is required to reach the beach. Long Beach is one of the most popular southern beaches.
Maya Beach is made famous as a location for the Hollywood film "The Beach." Great for snorkeling, lots of coral gardens and colorful fish, although can get a little busy in high season.
